Humorous Fentimans Coasters/Matts
I recently came across a collection of glass coasters/matts which implement quite a humorous feature into the design which I think is absolutely brilliant. There are instructions on the coasters which show how the user can place part of their hand in a desired area on one side to reveal quite a shocking display on the other side (see images below). There is an “old fashioned” style throughout with the combination of relevant typefaces and the use of clever copy obtaining this. Allowing the user to interact with the design is very beneficial at making it much more interesting and the addition of humour is a great selling point. The quite shocking and in some cases risque imagery in combination with the hand positioning is both clever and entertaining.
